Charango made of only one piece of naranjillo wood, the soundboard is made of Oregon pine wood. Fingerboard made of jacaranda wood. Round soundhole. Tuned on Mi (From low notes: Sol, Do, Mi, La, Mi). Length 66 cm. (25.98"), Width 18 cm. (7.08").

Unique Sound The charango has five pairs of strings, typically tuned GCEAE. Unlike most other stringed instruments, all ten strings are tuned within one octave.	Story of the Instrument The charango is believed to have originated in the Andes of the 18th century somewhere in present-day Potosí Bolivia, probably from American Indians' contact with Spanish settlers.
